Farm History
I Began farming in may 1988 on 2 acres. Then began
growing salad greens and marketing nationwide. My operation
expanded to over 1000 acres. I sold that company in December
1995. Then I began farming specialty vegetables in January
1996 as Happy Boy Farms. I currently farm 100 acres as
Certified Organic in Watsonville, San Juan Bautista, Giddy
and Chow Chilla.
farming practices
Certified Organic since 1998. We use compost cover crops
and fish fertilizer. We also use mechanical cultivation,
hand weeding, crop rotation and biodiversity in plant
species.
farming beliefs
We enjoy the challenge of farming, including the
interaction and satisfaction of working with the consumers
concerned with, and aware of how and where their food is
produced. We believe in producing food free from pesticides
and caring for the environment.

farming baby salad greens. We introduced this product at
farmers’ markets in the Bay area. We also grow heirloom
tomatoes , melons, specialty onions, sweet corn, and
